Sam Hunt is a graduate of South Gwinnett High School and the University of Georgia, where he played club soccer, and recently earned his specialist degree from West GA Univ. This is Coach Hunt’s seventh year at Lassiter, after spending the previous four years as the varsity boys coach at Woodstock High School, and seven years as the varsity girls coach at Kell High School. In 2011, Coach Hunt was named the Divarsity Coach of the Year, and in 2017, was named the Cherokee County High School Coach of the Year. He has a USSF “D” License and multiple other certificates in special topics courses.  He has coached club level at Kennesaw FC, and NASA and currently coaches at Concorde Fire. Coach Hunt and his wife, Kristin, have two soccer-loving sons, Davin (11) and Holden (9), and Evee the red lab.
